This Woman Tried Kim Kardashian’s Duct Tape Cleavage Trick
Brave writer Joanna Della-Ragione did the inevitable after Kim Kardashian revealed she uses tape (the gaffer variety, specifically) to achieve her red carpet cleavage: She tried it herself, on her 32E breasts. “Having studied Kim’s technique, I deduced she used strips of the tape to create a sort of halterneck sling that lifts and brings boobs together,” Della-Ragione wrote for Daily Mail. “Using about 10 long strips of gaffer, I recreated Kim’s homemade bra. It worked! My bosom was pert, full, lifted and supported—amazing results!”

But it didn’t feel great: “It was extremely uncomfortable to wear and far worse to take off. I gave myself an inadvertent breast wax and removed some skin in the process. My skin was still red and raw hours later.” (Ouch.)
Della-Ragione compared gaffer tape to other invisible bra alternatives on the market, including H&M’s self-adhesive gel bra, Fashion Forms Natural adhesive body bra, Eyure body tape, and Fashion Forms Natural ultra boost adhesive bra. Gaffer tape worked best, particularly because many of the bras didn’t come in her cup size. “But just because it works, doesn’t mean to say it looks good. I felt ridiculous.” So, tips for changing that, Kim?
