Olivia Palermo was announced as Ciaté’s guest creative director for 2015 back in January, and now we can exclusively reveal her first collection for the brand. The first of four collections that she will create as part of the partnership, the nail trio is inspired by Palermo’s own lifestyle and nail polish choices.
The rich red Hutch is inspired by and named after her mother, Lynn Hutchings, who wore a similar shade whilst she was growing up. Palermo describes it as her “go-to red”, whilst the coral Nantucket is named after one of her favourite holiday destinations and designed to offset a tan. The nude Sundays shade pays tribute to her husband Johannes Huebl’s weekly Instagram posts of the two of them together, always accompanied by the caption: “Sundays”.
“I love that Ciaté is able to pioneer a new beauty trend whilst offering beautiful classic shades; I feel like I can relate to the ethos of the brand whilst putting my own stamp on the collections,” she said.
Palermo also had input into the packaging design – individual white boxes for each polish, gold-toned detailing and a metal lid – and the formula, which now boasts a dual polymer mesh look technology for longer-lasting colour and shine.
Available from June 2015.
